Still time to make money at CVS!

I didn’t attempt the PG promo like Kathy. Instead, I made a short list and made $15.06 buying five items. Here is how:

Potentially cheap diapers at KMart

KMart is doubling manufacturer coupons up to $2 this week and running a special promotion: Get a $10 coupon wyb $35 of Procter & Gamble brands.

Here is a scenario I worked out in my head today:

Buy 2 Pampers big pack baby dry diapers @ $18.99 = $37.98
Use 2 $2 off Pampers from PG 2/27 = -$4
KMart should double the $2 off coupons = -$4
Subtotal = $29.98
Get $10 OYNO
Total oop = $19.98.

Based on the box count, the price per diaper is:

Size 1 – 9 cents
Size 2 – 10 cents
Size 3 – 10 cents
Size 4 – 12 cents
Size 5 – 14 cents

The only thing that I’m not completely sure of is whether KMart’s doubling policy is up to $2 (meaning any coupon 1.99 or lower) or if they also double $2. Last I heard they doubled the $2 coupon.

Also – in order for the doubling coupons to take effect, you have to buy $25 in grocery or drugstore purchases, but I believe the diapers should count as a drugstore purchase.

Kimberly-Clark Rebate

I read on another blog (can’t remember which one) about this rebate for certain Kimberly-Clark items. Spend $25 in one transaction, get $5; spend $40, get $10 back.  It says participating retailers, but they aren’t listed.  I’m assuming Rite Aid is a participating retailer.

If you bought more than 3 Huggies diapers at Rite Aid last week, you can mail it in!  I wish I had seen it before I went shopping… I bought 4 and only spent $35.96; I could have bought another pack of diapers for no extra cost with this rebate.  Bummer!

*This rebate is still available for things purchased through March 5 if you want to shop this week.  I’m not sure if this matches with any deals, though.

CVS Deal Scenerio & Free Toothpaste-2/27

My P&G Scenario… not the greatest deal, but a pretty good one.

P&G Select Items:  Spend $30, get $10 ECB

4 Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner 13.94
Tide Detergent 5.94
2 Bounty Towels 11.98
Total: $31.86

Use (2) P&G booklet coupons for Pantene-$2
Use (2) P&G booklet coupons for Bounty-$2
Use (1) P&G booklet coupon for Tide-$1
Use (2) other coupons for Pantene (from the mail)-$2

Total OOP $24.86
ECB:  $10
NET:  $14.86

Also included in this deal are Puffs Tissues, Charmin TP, & Dawn dishsoap.

Crest Toothpaste / Mouthwash:  $3.99 with $3.99 ECB – Limit 2
Use $1 off coupon and this will be a MONEYMAKER!

Buying 2 of these will make my earlier deal a NET of $12.86.  Since I’m low on paper towels and some of the P&G Coupons expire on Monday, I’m going to try this deal.  However, I won’t cry if I can’t get it!
