Other Misc. Deals – Walmart

I don’t remember if I posted some of these before, but they’re worth the reminders even if I did.  These deals are good at Walmart and since they’re not sales, they work anytime!

Nivea Body Wash – $3.00
Use $3/1 newspaper coupon to make these free!

Tide or Purex travel size cleaners – $0.97 each
Use various $1/1 coupons from newspapers, P&G Savings, etc.  Some expire 4/30, so use them this week!
Make sure your coupon doesn’t have a size limit and you’ll be fine to use them (notice these are TRAVEL sizes, not trial size — they are located in the travel section where all the smaller travel things are). I did have one cashier reject the Tide, but she shouldn’t have and I had no problems with the next cashier.

Similac Formula
There is a liquid version that is $3.84 — I don’t remember the exact kind anymore.  However, using the $5/1 or the $3/1 any Similac coupon will give you free or cheap formula.  If you can’t use the formula, give the coupon to someone who can, or buy the formula and donate it and you’ll get to use the overage!

Olay Body Soap – 2 pk – $2.48
Use the $2/1 Olay coupon to score cheap bar soap (My go-to price for bar soap is less than $0.33 a bar)

Walmart’s new coupon policy states that they will give you cash for overage, so some of these coupons might beep to signal the overage, but you shouldn’t have a problem.  I buy other things so that I don’t have a cash overage.  I have seen it reported that it’s still up to the store manager even though there is a corporate policy.  Don’t be afraid to ask for a higher up, but cut your losses when you are becoming frustrated!

Kathy’s R.A. & CVS deals – 4/24

I’ve been a little out of it and we were on vacation — but that didn’t stop me from going to CVS’s in North Carolina!  I went to 3 different ones and had my green bag tag scanned on T, W, Th, F, and S of last week!  ha ha

Here’s what I found interesting to add to Leslie’s CVS deals:

Blink Tears — look for $4 peelie coupons on the boxes to make these a $4 MM.  I bought these in NC on Saturday and they had them on every box, but I don’t know if there are some here in PA.

Rite Aid

Orajel training toothpaste (my store was $3.99) – BOGOF; spend $10, get $5 +UP
Buy 6 and use (6) $1 off coupons — newspaper or printable on their website
Spend 11.97; use $6 coupons, get $5 UP
Net total:  .97 for all 6!

Orajel mix /  match scenario – BOGOF; spend $10, get $5 +UP
2 – Orajel training toothpaste – 3.99
2 – Orajel teething cream (my store was 2 tubes – night and day –  in one box) – $7.99
(4) – $1 coupons (newspaper or printable on Orajel’s website)
Spend: 11.98, use $4 coupons, get $5 +UP
Net total:  $2.98, which I think is a great price for these items

jcp Cash

Good news! Today in the mail I received a flier from JC Penney that included $10 of jcp cash good on any purchase $10 and above. Keep your eye out for this flier – it’s $10 free. I usually go buy a piece or two of kids’ clothing on clearance. If you are local, received this flier, and won’t use it, please donate it to me! 🙂

CVS this week (4/24)

You can view all of the CVS deals for this week here. Tomorrow is a busy day for us, so I went to my local CVS tonight to snag a few of this week’s deals (my store begins the upcoming week’s sale at 2pm on Saturday).

Blink Tears – $7.99
Use 1 $1/1 coupon from 4/3/11 SS
Get $7.99 ECB (limit 1)
Final Cost = $1 Moneymaker

Right Guard Travel Deodorant – 75% off clearance, $0.32 each
Final Cost = $0.96

Bumble Bee Tuna – $.59 each
Spring puts me in the mood for tuna salad…?
Final Cost = $2.36

Dove Men’s Deodorant (limit 5) – $0.99 each = $2.97
Use $1/1 Dove coupons from 3/27 RP (expire SUNDAY 4/24!) I only had 3 coupons 😦
Final Cost = $.03 Moneymaker

Pantene Styling Gel (on clearance for $1.37)
Used $1/1 Pantene Styling Product from a P&G coupon insert from a pack of batteries
Final Cost = $.37

So…my grand total was $2.66 but I had a $3 “Happy Birthday” coupon and 1 ECB from my green bag tag. Not a bad day.

The shopping trip

Tonight Sam was away and I had our baby all to myself. I was brave and decided to make THE weekly shopping trip. We went to two Rite Aids, Giant, CVS, and Weis. When I was at our second to last stop I thought, “I will never be able to do this many stops with more than one baby.”

Anyway, things went well. I got some of the general deals at RA and did a combination of special deals:

I struck out at CVS – they didn’t have a single thing on my list. My total ended up being $11.96 for everything in the picture and I got two $3/15 survey coupons at RA. A good day!

Good deal on custom books

I’m back! I have successfully defended my dissertation and after a few edits will be completely finished with my Ph.D. 🙂 What that means for this blog is more regular updates from Leslie.

Today I write with a deal on custom books from Picaboo via Groupon. I have used Picaboo a few times now to make books and have been very happy with the result. In this today-only deal, you pay $35 for $100 worth of Picaboo products. Groupon is Ebates’ “Daily Deal” today, so you can make this deal even better by going to the Groupon site via Ebates and get 6% cash back.

CVS 4/10

There are two Airwick / Lysol deals can check out on Hip2Save’s CVS post this coming week.  Check here to get the details with links to printable coupons.

Combining that with the contact solution (MM with coupon and ECB) and toothbrush (free with coupon and ECB) from the current week,  as well as three Mentos gum ($1 each; use $1/3 coupon from newspaper) and a bottle of Visine (1.99 – not on sale, but free with a $2 internet coupon), PLUS a Facebook $5/40 coupon, I was able to again make money this week at CVS.  I really like mixing the weekly deals.

There are some other deals, but this is what I was interested in.  I’ll probably go S, M, or T to get the advertised free bubbles since my kiddos love to play with them.  You can’t get the “3 day deals” early.
