CHEAP DIAPERS with card deal at Giant!

Giant is repeating the Hallmark card deal again this week.  The stores in our area are running very low (or are out) of the $0.99 cards, but maybe they’ll restock before the week is over.  The deal is buy 3 cards, get a $5 catalina.

There is also a Mother’s Day special… spend $100 in select items, receive a $25 VISA gift card in the mail.  The select items include Pampers diapers, so I worked out this deal for a friend and thought I’d share it with you.

The deal as I have it written here requires quite a few Pampers coupons and 18 transactions, but in the end, you’ll spend a NET of $15.34 for  51 cards, 11 diapers, 1 egg, 1 OJ,  and 1 Pantene product.  I should also mention that transaction 10 is a special for the NEW Giant here in Mount Joy.

However, the premise would be the same for those of you who don’t live in this area…  and it’s a better deal (total:  38.16, net:  $13.16).

  • Do the same first 9 transactions,
  • do 2 add’l transactions of 6 cards,
  • your next transaction would look like this:  1 diaper and 1 pantene = 8.99+3.50 =12.49 – 1.50 pampers coupon – $2 pantene coupon – $5 GIANT catalina = 3.99.
  • You would then need to do 10 add’l transactions with only diapers.
  • Therefore, you’re adjusted list would be:  purchase a total of:  63 cards, 11 diapers, 1 pantene  (need 11 Pampers coupons — I have it with $1.50 coupons, but there are $1.75 and $2.00 coupons floating around; and 1 Pantene coupon).  You would do 21 transactions total.

BUT… non-coupon clippers, don’t FEAR… check this out:

…Even without any other coupons besides the $5 catalina (no pampers or pantene coupons), your net would still be: $31.66 — REALLY AWESOME for 11 packs of diapers)!

This may be a confusing post and I’m rambling now, but hopefully you get the gist… I’d be happy to explain more if you want to try the deal.

Here’s the Mount Joy (MJ) Giant deal… each number is a different transaction

  1. 3 cards = 2.67, get 5
  2. 6 cards = .66, get 10
  3. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (15 in 5’s…)
  4. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (20 in 5’s…)
  5. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (25)
  6. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (30)
  7. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (35)
  8. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (40)
  9. 6 cards = .66, get 10 (45)
  10. 3 diapers, eggs, OJ = 26.97+2.50+1.49 = 30.96;  Give $3 off (do this FIRST!), free OJ, free eggs, 5 (40 left in 5’s), 4.50 (diapers) = 14.47 (get $5 pampers catalina – this is not the same as the card deal);  27 towards 100
  11. 1 diaper + 1 pantene = 8.99+3.5 =12.49
-5 (pampers) – 5 (giant; since the pampers is a manufacturers coupon, they should let you use both coupons … they wouldn’t let me use 2 pampers coupons) -$2 pampers coupon = .49
    (35 in 5’s left); 39 towards 100
  12. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5 = 2.49  (30 left in 5’s); 48 towards 100
  13. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5 = 2.49 (25 left in 5’s); 57 towards 100
  14. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5 = 2.49 (20 left in 5’s); 66 towards 100
  15. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5 = 2.49 (15 left in 5’s); 75 towards 100
  16. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5 = 2.49 (10 left in 5’s); 84 towards 100
  17. 1 diaper = 8.99-1.5-5= 2.49
    (5 left in 5’s); 93 towards 100
  18. 1 diaper = 8.99 – 1.5-5=2.49; 102 towards 100

  1. Well, I had to go to several Giant stores to get enough cards to do this, but I finally got it done. I am stocked with diapers for a while!
